KEITH MONKS REDUXTWO RECORD CLEANING MACHINE LAUNCHED

New Keith Monks ReduxTwo: Archive Standard Record Cleaning Machine and Universal Disc Cleaner launched.

Jonathan Monks, the son of the founder Keith Monks, has announced the new Keith Monks ReduxTwo Record Cleaning Machine, an Archive Standard Record Cleaning Machine and Universal Disc Cleaner.

After ten years of successfully re-establishing Precision Record Cleaning into the mainstream with discOveryOne and the Prodigy record cleaning machines, Keith Monks Audio returns to its professional roots.

KEITH MONKS REDUXTWO RECORD CLEANING MACHINE

The Keith Monks ReduxTwo Record Cleaning Machine has been designed in collaboration with two university libraries and a specialist audio restoration engineer, to deliver Archive Standard Record Cleaning.

HISTORY

It all started with the world’s first-ever Record Cleaning Machine, a design collaboration between Keith Monks Audio and the BBC Radio Record Library in the late 1960s.

Over half a century later, ReduxTwo pays homage to its famous ancestors with a striking aesthetic and finish in keeping with its performance., all design aspects are geared for professional use, just as much as for the discerning audiophile at home.

VACUUM SYSTEM

The Keith Monks ReduxTwo record cleaning machine offers a professional-grade solution for deep cleaning vinyl, shellac, and optical discs. It features a vacuum system that eliminates recontamination, ensuring that each record is cleaned with the same level of precision, whether it’s the 1st or 1000th disc. The machine uses the proprietary SmoothFlowPro brushless vacuum pump, which provides a powerful yet quiet cleaning process. The system includes discOvery cleaning fluids for various disc types, ensuring thorough cleaning across different formats.

MODULAR DESIGN

One of the standout features of the ReduxTwo is its modular design, which simplifies maintenance. Designed with serviceability in mind, the machine is easy to repair without the need to return it to the factory, a common issue with other high-end record cleaners. The device’s top deck lifts to allow access to the machine’s internal workings, and key functions are separated into plug-in sub-assemblies for easy replacement or servicing. This user-friendly design extends the lifespan and reliability of the ReduxTwo, which is built using heavy-duty medical and industrial components.

BBC-MONKS MACHINES

The ReduxTwo also incorporates classic design elements from the original 1960s BBC-Monks machines, such as the washing brush block and vacuum wand, which have been re-engineered for modern use. Despite the retro aesthetic, these components deliver the best performance for precision cleaning. Keith Monks Audio offers an archival version of the machine, featuring dual SmoothFlowPro pumps for institutions requiring long-term, heavy-duty use, such as archives and libraries.

ZERO RECONTAMINATION SYSTEM

A key feature of the ReduxTwo is its Zero Recontamination system, unique to Keith Monks machines, they tell us. The machine vacuums away all cleaning fluid and dislodged contaminants, preventing any residue from remaining on the record. This method ensures consistently clean results, setting the Keith Monks machine apart from other systems that may leave behind evaporated contaminants. The biodegradable cleaning fluid can be safely disposed of, and the precision cleaning process ensures that records remain in pristine condition, even after extensive use.
